HELP OUR HELPLINE

 

We are dedicated to helping as many individuals as possible who need information, advice, support and guidance on liver related issues. We would very much like to recruit some volunteers who would be willing to lend some free time to assist us with the calls and also lend their first-hand experience to help others.

 

OUR REQUIREMENTS: 

 

We ask volunteers to:

• Commit to at least one, 3-hour shift per week to ensure continuity 

• Have access to a computer/laptop with internet access and have good mobile phone signal 

• Hold good interpersonal skills, i.e. the ability to speak to people on the telephone in a friendly and efficient manner

• Have the ability to use a computer and the internet for information retrieval 

• Basic database skills are desirable, but not essential as training will be provided if needed.

 

L4L WILL PROVIDE: 

 

 

• Training in helpline skills

• Support and ongoing supervision

• A mobile telephone
